Science Labs

The science labs allow students to carry out various experiments with scientific methods and instruments. The students formulate hypothesis, collect data and draw conclusions to promote the skills like scientific inquiry and research.

Transport

The school provides school bus services to students for their ease to commute. Every bus is equipped with GPS, CCTV, a speed governor, a first aid kit, experienced drivers, and security personnel. The service is provided for two trips each day.

Special educator

At our school, we believe in inclusive education and in providing support to students with diverse learning needs. Our team of dedicated special educators works closely with students, parents, and teachers to create personalised learning plans and provide necessary accommodations. With a focus on individual growth and development, our special educators ensure that every student receives the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

Health check ups

School looks into the physical wellbeing of all the students and the staff. Health check up campaign is organized every year where the students are diagnosed for their fitness. A report is generated and issued to the students suggesting the health check up follow up as required (sight, dental, skin care etc). Staff is also checked for their health and a report is given to them. A special care is taken for the drivers with the regular check up for their vision and audibility.

GPS Tracking for School Bus

The school buses are upgraded with GPS tracking system to ensure safety and security. The parents and the school transport department can track the real time bus location. This live tracking aids the parents to have hassle free pick and drop and the school to have updates of the school bus location at any given point of time.

We at Johnson Grammar School, consider Health, Safety and Child Protection policies as the
backbone of our school operations, that ensure a safe environment for holistic development of
our learners. JGS Sets the Standard with a 99.2% Green Rating in School Safety and
Management.

STATEMENT OF INTENT HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

Our multi-safety system features include:

It serves as the guardian of well-being ensuring a secure and conducive environment for all
members of our school community.

The school has CCTVs installed at all strategic corners around the school to keep track of what is
happening at the premises

The school undergoes an electrical audit by an authorized government agency, to inspect,
survey and analyse the energy flow of the school for energy conservation & detecting leaks for
safe buildings.

Mock fire drills are carried out twice a year and fire audits are done periodically. Fire safety
equipment and evacuation plans are placed at all strategic points of the school.

ID cards are provided to every visitor for safety concerns.

Every student of the Johnson Grammar School undergoes a health check-up once a year by the pediatric doctors of reputed hospitals. The checkups include dental, ENT and general. Computerized records of the medical history of each child are sent to the parents after check.

We have a well-functional RO plant to provide the necessary beverage to the students. The
tests are done frequently and the reports are obtained.

The school has a Zero Tolerance Policy for any sort of corporal punishment and a written
acknowledgement is taken from every employee before the recruitment to adhere to this
policy. Strict disciplinary action is taken for non-compliance to this policy.

The school has male and female security officials and zone managers at all strategic places for
strict vigilance & to ensure around-the-clock security for students and staff.

The school has a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) with parents and teachers as
representatives, who audit the school premises and participate in furthering the well-being of
the students and the school.

Counselor and English lab

Counselors and Special educators play a crucial role in supporting the overall well being of the students and contribute to the positive environment in the school.
At Johnson, every child knows that apart from the teachers and parents, there is the School Counselor who would listen to them and their academic, emotional, behavioral, or social challenges ensuring complete confidentiality. She provides both Individual and Group guidance along with the support of teachers and parents as and when required. She helps them to understand their strengths and weaknesses and is a source of constant guidance giving solutions to their problems. She promotes responsibility, instills values and advocates caring and trustworthy citizens.
Our Special Educators collaborate with teachers and parents, to assess the developmental levels of students, their academic abilities and functional skills. They design and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to fill the learning gaps and support the child. They monitor the progress of the students and accordingly modify the intervention strategies along with providing behavioral Support.
